Leasingham Shiraz 2022, Clare Valley

This Shiraz is crafted from our Schobers Vineyards nestled in the southern part of Clare Valley. The Leasingham basin is a special site where many exceptional wines were produced including the Jimmy Watson winning 1994 Leasingham Classic Clare. The vines of this shiraz block are approximately 60 years old and partially dry grown.

This parcel of Shiraz was picked mid-March after a long and cool season with below average temperatures but bright sunny days. With good rainfall in the spring 2021 leading into harvest, these were idyllic conditions for reds in Clare.
